Half-Filipino Mixed Martial Arts Fighter, Frank Jarrett, will represent New Zealand at the World Mixed Martial Arts Championships in Las Vegas this July.
20-year-old Frank "The Tank" Jarrett grew up in Hamilton and, as the child of a Filipina mother and Kiwi father, has always been very proud of his dual heritage.
Frank has been training in martial arts from a young age, wrestling with the Hamilton Hawks as an 11-year-old. He then went on to box at age 16 for Hamilton's Fighting Fit Boxing Club before making the transition to Mixed Martial Arts with Hamilton's CORE MMA, combining his passion for both boxing and Brazilian jiu jitsu.
In April this year, he fought his way through the Lightweight Tournament to take his place on the New Zealand team in the World Championships.
Unfortunately, there's currently no funding available for the NZ amateur MMA team. You can help Frank reach his goal by donating towards his trip at the below link:
Help support a fellow Filipino and Hamiltonian! Frank needs all the help he can get to make the journey to LA to represent his country at the IMMAF World Championships. 100% of donations will be used for flights, accommodation costs and food.
